My husband and I share life on the Lazy B Bar cattle ranch in Big Horn County, Wyoming.

A herd of cattle, a few horses, and a flock of chickens live here as well, along with a sheep named, Cheepy, and an older horse named Grandma Mare.  Cheepy and Grandma Mare met, became joyful companions, and share a friendship beyond borders or animal species boundaries. Their amazing friendship demonstrates that friends are where you find them, and can arrive when least expected and most needed.

Cheepy and Grandma Mare's unusual relationship inspired me to write the book, Cheepy and Grandma Mare, which I illustrated with pen and ink watercolor drawings. This true story about their friendship will excite children and readers of all ages.
