Along the Greybull Wall Hanging
Along the Greybull wall hanging was inspired by an alpaca fiber felting class I took last year. During the class at the Sage Ridge Mill and Critters ranch near Buffalo, Wyoming I created the piece, and fell in love with the alpacas there that furnished the fiber. I am still using some of the fibers I purchased in other art pieces.
Meanwhile, I created this artwork that reminds me of the Greybull River flowing through the cattle ranch I live on with Gene, my husband. Gene went turkey hunting on the ranch last fall. We ate the turkey he harvested, and I am using the feathers in my art. Some of them are in this piece, along with some brass beads from Africa. The branch suspending the art is collected from the ranch as well.
"Along the Greybull" wall art is 36" wide, and it is 30" deep from top point down to the turkey feathers. The piece is shown suspended from the handmade wood "pebble" style hanger. (If you want the hanger (with mounting screw) included, choose that purchase option for an additional $15.) Or you may use your own method of hanging from the cord or weathered branch.
