The double-stranded Janis necklace is full of fun and mystery. Inspired by and named for Janis Joplin, I remember my hippie days, and how free and wild I felt wearing multiple necklaces as Janis did. The Janis necklace has my glass bead discs along with pewter and silver charms: umbrellas, guitars, horns, saxophones, leaves, and more. Tiny silver, copper, and bronze handmade spacer beads from Africa pull the entire necklace together.
The Janis is 30" long and closes with my sterling silver toggle clasp. Long is perfect, however, if your neck is small, double the strands up and wear as a really impressive 4 strand choker.
Release your wild, free side, and express yourself with joy. You are remarkable, you know, I make my unforgettable jewelry just for you.
I was a lampwork glass artist from 2003 until I retired in 2018 from glass-making due to my husband's illness and passing. I am creating again in other ways but no longer lampwork. A few very special glass pieces remain and I offer them here at highly discounted prices.
