Winter Bones Boho Wall Hanging
Winter Bones wall hanging is inspired by the mostly snow-covered fields surrounding me now, with the areas of grass showing through from the days the temperatures are above 32 degrees. This piece is 14" wide and 19" long. It is woven with a mixture of wools, cotton, roving, and other yarns and fibers.
As the circle of life wheels around here on the ranch collect bones from a spot we reserve for the animals that succumb. The Greybull River, beavers, and wind storms take out trees. I roam the ranch finding branches and remnants of this natural life. I used a cow bone to suspend the weaving and wove in another bone and branch.
Winter Bones is shown in one photo suspended from a handmade wood "pebble" style hanger. (If you want the hanger (with mounting screw) included, choose that purchase option for an additional $15.) Or you may use your own method of hanging from the cord or weathered branch.
